As Kosovo Investment Joint Venture, we analyze Prizren's legal risk profile in light of the Kosovo Agency of Statistics (ASK) judicial data. 2024 Defendant and Conviction Data in Prizren and Its Branches The predictability of the investment environment is directly measured by how effectively judicial bodies can resolve disputes and irregularities. According to official 2024 data, 1,950 adult defendants were tried in Prizren Basic Court central courthouse, resulting in 1,678 conviction decisions. In this picture where only 33 defendants were acquitted, it is clear that the vast majority of legal violations brought to court result in criminal sanctions. Looking at the gender profile, the fact that 1,565 of the 1,678 convicted persons were male demonstrates that crime and judicial cases in the region develop around the male population. Regional Commercial Dynamics Reflected in Judicial Statistics Prizren's districts and commercial satellite regions have their own different judicial profiles. In particular, in the Suharekë region, an important center for industry, production, and viticulture sectors, 506 out of 540 defendants tried in 2024 received convictions. This concentration indicates that in places with commercial circulation, judicial incidents (traffic, misdemeanors, property, etc.) also increase in parallel. On the other hand, in the more rural and isolated region of Dragash, the conviction number remained at a low level of 82.
