Total Environmental Tax Revenues: While the total environmental tax revenues collected by the state in Kosovo were 287.8 million Euros in 2019, they reached 377.7 million Euros by 2024. This shows that the environmental tax burden (or collection volume) has increased by approximately 31% in the last 5 years. Transportation Taxes: The largest item in environmental taxes consists of taxes collected from transportation vehicles and activities. Transport tax revenue, which was 251.1 million Euros in 2019, increased to 326.1 million Euros in 2024, accounting for approximately 86.3% of the total environmental tax alone. Pollution Taxes: While pollution taxes from industry, waste and emissions were at 35.5 million Euros in 2019, they increased to 49.2 million Euros in 2024. Energy Excise Tax: Environmental energy excise taxes have a relatively low share and amounted to 2.33 million Euros in 2024.
