BRIEF SUMMARY Primary healthcare services in Kosovo are primarily delivered through Family Medicine Centers (QKMF), hosting a massive patient volume. According to official Kosovo Agency of Statistics (ASK) data, millions of family medicine visits and medical interventions are carried out each year; for example, in 2023, over 3.2 million family medicine consultations and over 7.6 million interventions/services were recorded nationwide. Not only the capital Pristina and Prizren, but also the intensity at public centers in regions such as Ferizaj and Gjilan points to a wide market gap for preventive medicine, rapid diagnosis (check-ups), and modern private polyclinics. The data indicates that private medical centers and polyclinics, which have lower costs compared to hospital investments, could encounter high patient demand.
