According to official data published by the Kosovo Agency of Statistics (ASK) for first-instance courts, the Prizren region is one of the most active basins in the justice system. In 2024, a total of 1,950 adult defendants were tried in Prizren Basic Court (central courthouse), and 1,678 received conviction decisions. The number of acquitted defendants remained at 33, and 19 indictments were rejected by the court. Of the 1,678 convicted, 1,565 were male and 113 were female. When examining the 2024 statistics of branches affiliated with Prizren Basic Court, a similar legal determination is apparent. In particular, in the Suharekë (Suvareka) branch where agriculture, industry, and trade investments are concentrated, 506 of 540 defendants tried were convicted and only 16 defendants were acquitted. In the more rural Dragash branch, 82 of 126 defendants tried were convicted and 4 persons were acquitted. It is statistically established that the overwhelming majority of violations brought to court across the entire region result in criminal sanctions.
