Kosovo's air transport capacity displayed macroeconomic growth, testing its highest passenger circulation ever in 2024 and 2025. According to ASK data, total air passenger traffic reaching 447,000 in the busiest months of 2024 exceeded the half-million threshold to surpass 512,000 in 2025.
Key comparative data: January: From 287,193 in 2024 to 343,606 in 2025. January 2026 reached 358,930. April: From 326,313 in 2024 to 377,207 in 2025. August (Diaspora Peak): From 447,797 in 2024 to 512,955 in 2025. December: From 362,545 in 2024 to 383,488 in 2025.
The fact that air passenger numbers increased without exception every month from 2024 to 2025 and tested the 512,000 level in summer shows that Kosovo's attractiveness to both tourists and diaspora is increasing. Hotel, HORECA, retail chains and transport (rent-a-car/transfer) firms benefit from this macro growth as a strong consumer pool signal supporting market entry decisions. However, this positive picture does not guarantee your business will profit or that all increasing passengers will become your customers.
