Kosovo's aviation sector demonstrates macroeconomic development not only through increasing flight numbers but also through operational capacity efficiency. ASK data shows that while flight numbers steadily increase, the average passengers per flight has not dropped but maintained high occupancy rates. While flights exceed 1,400 in summer months, average passengers per aircraft generally range between 280-310 persons.
Cross-referencing flight count and average passengers per flight data sets shows the system operates with high integration. Monthly flights: August 2022: 1,260, August 2023: 1,343, August 2024: 1,454. Capacity Efficiency (2022): In busy August 2022, 294 passengers were carried per flight. In October 2022, with 769 flights, the average reached 317 passengers per flight. Low Season: Even in February 2022 when flights dropped to 519, 301 passengers per flight were recorded.
Maintaining the average of 280-310 passengers per flight while flight numbers increase is an extremely positive macro indicator for ground handling, aircraft cleaning, fuel supply, in-flight catering and duty-free airport retail businesses.
