Urbanization Rate Surge: The urbanization rate rose from 38.03% in 2011 to 50.18% in 2024, surpassing the rural population rate (49.82%) for the first time in the country's history. Rural Population Decline: Rural population decreased from 1,078,239 in 2011 to 789,939 in 2024. Household Shift to Cities: As of 2024, of the total 366,595 households in Kosovo, 196,144 are in urban areas and 170,451 are in rural areas.
