BRIEF SUMMARY The workload in laboratory and diagnostic units of public hospitals in Kosovo is increasing each year. According to Kosovo Agency of Statistics data, the annual number of laboratory services (tests/analyses) performed in just seven regional general hospitals has risen from 1.4 million to over 1.6 million. The intensity in heavily populated regions such as Prizren and Pejë presents a clear market gap for accredited, modern, and high-capacity private medical laboratories and advanced diagnostic centers. This data highlights the potential for private healthcare investments in specific testing areas (genetics, pathology, molecular biology).
